Feel free to stay and learn about 3D printing with your child or drop them off. 

In this course, your child will learn the steps to design and print a 3d object that they get to keep. They learn how to design 3d objects in TinkerCad, slice their design with Cura, and print on a 3d printer. Students will also learn how to find 3d objects that exist on Thingiverse.

Session 1: Overview of the process of design, slicing, and printing. See a 3D printer in action. See example. Start to design your idea in Tinkercad.

Session 2: Continue designing 3D object in Tinkercad.

Session 3: Finish up design and slice your design.

Session 4: Printed design are delivered and painting of 3d object is finished. Take design home and build more!

This course will be taught by Neel Banerjee an electrical engineer with over 15 years of experience. Neel has two kids aged 2 years and 6 years old. Neel loves working with kids and seeing how much they can achieve. Neel is the committee chair for his son’s cub scout pack and regularly volunteers at his son’s elementary school. He enjoys spending time with his family and mountain biking.
